The Seven Imperial Electors are called the Proclaimers of Divine Providence by Dante.

The Seven Electors are responsible to elect the Holy Roman Emperor.

Each Imperial Elector has a responsibility as written down in the Golden Bull of 1356:

The Golden Bull of the Emperor Charles IV 1356 A.D.

The Bishop of Mainz is responsible for calling the other Electors together for a vote.

The Mainz see is now vacant and has since 16 MAY 2016

The Mainz see was last occupied on 5.15 of this year.

The next man to fill this see has a great responsibility. 

As usual I expect disappoint.
