Statement from CIA on K-9 Training Incident in Loudoun County, VA

31 March 2016

LANGLEY, VA – CIA K-9 units regularly participate in training with K-9 units from federal, state and local law enforcement agencies in the Washington Metropolitan Area.
Last week, a CIA K-9 unit conducted a routine training exercise with law enforcement officials in Loudoun County, VA. During the exercise, explosive training material was inadvertently left by the CIA K-9 unit in one of the buses used in the exercise.

On Wednesday, March 30, CIA was notified that the explosive training material was found when the bus was undergoing routine maintenance. CIA coordinated closely with local authorities and recovered the training material. According to Loudoun County officials, the bus transported students on March 28 and 29. CIA and Loudoun County explosives experts have confirmed that the training material did not pose a danger to passengers on the bus.

To prevent such incidents from happening again, CIA has taken immediate steps to strengthen inventory and control procedures in its K-9 program. CIA will also conduct a thorough and independent review of CIA’s K-9 training program. CIA performed a full inventory this morning and accounted for all the explosive training material used in the K-9 training program.

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, has said that about 4000 buses mostly used by Nigerian pilgrims would be replaced by Saudi Arabia authorities ahead of the year 2016 hajj exercise. The chairman of the commission, Abdullahi Mohammed, disclosed this on Tuesday in Abuja when he hosted a delegation of the Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria. Mr. Mohammed said the visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other measures put in place by the commission led to better deals for Nigerian pilgrims to the country. He said Saudi authorities have assured of better accommodation arrangements for Nigerian pilgrims on Mina tent city. Read More>>>>>>
Who rides the new busses? Members of Boko Harem. Explosives hidden in the new busses make for a end of Boko Harem or at least a partial end. No need to travel to Nigeria to do the Job.

But someone tipped off the Saudis by leaving explosives in a School bus. Message sent.

So one month later we have a response that the message was received - seven or nine Saudi Binladin Group buses were torched.
Saudi Binladin Group Employees Set Fire to Buses in Protest

Employees at the Saudi Binladin Group, a construction giant, have set fire to more than seven company buses in the latest protest by disgruntled staff over not being paid salaries for months and a large round of reported layoffs. Maj. Nayef al-Sharif, the spokesman for the Civil Defense in the city of Mecca, said late Saturday that firefighters put out the blaze without any injuries reported. The Binladin Group has not issued any statements about the reported layoffs or the unrest. Calls and an email request for comment to the company were not immediately returned. For several weeks, thousands of the firm's employees have been staging rare protests in Mecca and the Red Sea coastal city of Jiddah, with some saying they have not been paid for six months. The attack on the company's buses comes a day after the Saudi Al-Watan newspaper quoted an unnamed source as saying the company has terminated employment for 50,000 foreign workers and issued them exit visas. Many of those workers are apparently refusing to leave without being paid their late wages, the newspaper reported. ABC Read More>>>>>
