Did You Know That Being Called A CREEPER Is In Reference To Catholics Venerating Of The Cross On Good Friday?

Creepers...

I bet you didn't know that to be called a creeper was a good thing.

If you're a Catholic Male who behaves himself by attending Mass every day and confession once a week I bet you're still called a creeper. Called a creeper by the perverts themselves.

Modern day definition of creeper:
Creeper A person who does weird things, like stares at you while you sleep, or looks at you for hours through a window. usually a close friend or relative. you know right away if that person is a creeper or does creeper things. it is not hard to spot the creeper.
The origin of the word of course comes from bigots who hate the Catholic Faith and hate Catholics. Because on Good Friday the Roman Catholics have a custom during the service of Good Friday to approach the Crucifix and kneeling before the crucifix and kissing it we are paying the highest honor to the our Lord's cross as the instrument of our salvation.

But I never thought to call the veneration of the Crucifix on Good Friday creeping. Neither, I bet, did you.

I came across this creeping in the meditation by Fr Thomas Hill written 1634 who said:
As upon Candlemas day, by bearing hallowed candles in procession; upon Ash Wednesday by taking holy Ashes; upon good Friday, creeping to the cross, and the like: which ceremonies do help our devotion very much.
Now you can say that Father just happened to choose that word and that there is nothing behind it - yea, OK, but there are too many examples of godless bigots who use words to mock some Catholic ceremony found in the Latin Mass - for instance: Hocus-Pocus is a play on the words found in the Latin Mass Hoc Est Corpus.

Bigots are clever but not clever enough to save their souls, because all bigots hate God, neighbor and themselves.

Bigots are all around today. I know quite a few of them, and I bet, so do you.

Pay attention to the clever bigot - these poor souls will use a corruption of Latin words to mock God and Catholics.

Being called a creeper by these godless fools should be considered an honor.

The funny thing is, is that this bigots don't know why they call you a creeper - but their familiars* do! LOL!

  1. An earlier reference even than that you mention from 1634 is found in "The Vision of Piers Plowman" from the late 1300s: "Arise and reverence God's Resurrection, and creep to the Cross kneeling, and kiss it for a jewel."
