President Of The French Republic Nicolas Sarkozy Fears Modern Democracy Will Be Destroyed By The Internet

ANGELICO, Fra
Saint Dominic Adoring the Crucifixion
1441-42

Have mercy upon us, O God of all, and behold us, and show us the light of thy mercies: And send thy fear upon the nations, that have not sought after thee: that they may know that there is no God beside thee, and that they may show forth thy wonders. Lift up thy hand over the strange nations, that they may see thy power. For as thou hast been sanctified in us in their sight, so thou shalt be magnified among them in our presence, That they may know thee, as we also have known thee, that there is no God beside thee, O Lord.

Renew thy signs, and work new miracles. Glorify thy hand, and thy right arm. Raise up indignation, and pour out wrath. Take away the adversary, and crush the enemy. Hasten the time, and remember the end, that they may declare thy wonderful works.

Let him that escapeth be consumed by the rage of the fire: and let them perish that oppress thy people. Crush the head of the princes of the enemies that say: There is no other beside us. Gather together all the tribes of Jacob: that they may know that there is no God besides thee, and may declare thy great works: and thou shalt inherit them as from the beginning. Have mercy on thy people, upon whom thy name is invoked: and upon Israel, whom thou hast raised up to be thy firstborn. Have mercy on Jerusalem, the city which thou hast sanctified, the city of thy rest.

Fill Sion with thy unspeakable words, and thy people with thy glory. Give testimony to them that are thy creatures from the beginning, and raise up the prophecies which the former prophets spoke in thy name. Reward them that patiently wait for thee, that thy prophets may be found faithful: and hear the prayers of thy servants, According to the blessing of Aaron over thy people, and direct us into the way of justice, and let all know that dwell upon the earth, that thou art God the beholder of all ages. Ecclesiasticus 36
And the fear of them fell upon all the inhabitants of the land. Book Of Judith ii

Know that the vessel which the serpent broke
was and is not; but he whose fault it is
may rest assured-God's vengeance fears no hindrance.
The eagle that had left its plumes within
the chariot, which then became a monster
and then a prey, will not forever be
without an heir; for I can plainly see,
and thus I tell it: stars already close
at hand, which can't be blocked or checked, will bring
a time in which, dispatched by God, a Five
Hundred and Ten and Five will slay the whore
together with that giant who sins with her.
And what I tell, as dark as Sphinx and Themis,
may leave you less convinced because-like these-
it tires the intellect with quandaries;
but soon events themselves will be the Naiads
that clarify this obstinate enigma-
but without injury to grain or herds.
Take note; and even as I speak these words,
do you transmit them in your turn to those
who live the life that is a race to death.
Purgatorio xxxiii

Sarkozy is a smart man, he fears that the internet will work wonders in destroying modern democracy. Does he actually think that people of all nations will refuse to vote, thus destroying Modern Democracy? No, of course not. His fear which is not reported by the press or for the general public to hear, is that the internet will unleash a political revolution which the world has never seen before- teh restoration of the Holy Roman Empire. This will be done by calling for an Imperial Election to bring about the restoration of all things in Christ by electing the next Holy Roman Emperor. Modern Democracy as we all know it will one day be put to death by the Divinely Ordained Authority of the Holy Roman Emperor. This is Sarkozy unspoken fear.

'Now that the internet is an integral part of most people's lives, it would be contradictory to exclude governments from this huge forum,' President Of The French Republic Nicolas Sarkozy

'Nobody could nor should forget that these governments are the only legitimate representatives of the will of the people in our democracies.' President Of The French Republic Nicolas Sarkozy

'To forget this is to take the risk of democratic chaos and hence anarchy.' President Of The French Republic Nicolas Sarkozy
