Water Baptism Is Necessary For Salvation

The God who created this is capable of providing water for a simple Baptism

From Athanasius Contra Mundum

The lunacy of Feenyism part 1

In defense of the three baptisms (water, desire & blood) Athanasius Contra Mundum starts out this this:

“false teachings of Feenyism, which is that the Church's teaching "Extra Ecclesiam nulla salus" means no one can be saved unless they are baptized, since they cannot be saved without visible membership.” Athanasius Contra Mundum

Jesus answered: Amen, amen I say to thee, unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Ghost, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:5

To say that water baptism is not necessary for salvation then one must ignore the very words of the second Person of the Blessed Trinity. The above words of Our Lord should be enough evidence that water baptism is necessary for salvation. After quoting the very words from the mouth of God on the necessity of water baptism for salvation, Athanasius Contra Mundum would retort as follows:

One can not smugly brush away this teaching, not only because so many have so consistently taught it, but because it has become the teaching of Christ's Church by the universal ordinary magisterium (that is, ordinary magisterial infallibility). There are those who say "well, couldn't the theologians be wrong? The Bible clearly says except by water and spirit." There was one such man who said something like this some time ago, his name was Martin Luther. Then there was another named John Calvin, and another all the way up to every Billy Bob preacher who has set up his Church of what's happening now. Protestantism as a body does not accept that Sacred Tradition is an organ of transmitting Christ's teaching. The errors of protestantism can be reduced to their two most well known doctrines, sola fide and sola scriptura, that is on salvation and their understanding of tradition. Athanasius Contra Mundum

My reply to Athanasius Contra Mundum would be as follows:

One cannot smugly brush away the very words of the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity and relay solely on the words of men (no matter how holy they may be). But Athanasius Contra Mundum and many traditionalists do. I might also add so do the followers of Father Feeney reject the very words of God and cling to the words of men with their persistent belief that the words of Pope Boniface VIII found in Unam Sanctum take precedence over the very words of God in matters of Papal temporal power. The followers of Father Feeney give more temporal authority to the Pope than is allowed by the Blessed Trinity. The followers of Father Feeney along with all traditionalists refuse to believe the very words of God in what is allowed to the Pope in temporal matters and instead cling to the words of Pope Boniface and other popes to promote the error that the pope can willingly depose any Roman Emperor or Roman Catholic King and take complete possession of their empires and kingdoms if the popes so chose to do. Now this reasoning falls apart when asked if the pope can deposed US President Barak Obama and take complete possession of the United States territory or deposed any democratically elected head of state and take complete possession of those territories if these democratically elected heads of state refuse to follow the pope in matters of faith and morals.

The standard Traditionalist’s response to this is that of course the pope cannot deposed modern day democratically elected heads of state and take complete possession of their territories but these Traditionalists will add that the pope can only depose Roman Catholics heads of state by excommunication and take complete possession of only those territories ruled by Roman Catholic Emperors and Kings if these heads of state refuse to follow the pope in matters of faith and morals. But when it comes to modern democracy the papal temporal authority has no authority! All this is because the vast majority of Traditionalist rejects the very words of God found in Divine Scripture and will either add to the words of God or take away from the words of God.

This is what Athanasius Contra Mundum does here when rejecting the very words of God in the necessity of water baptism for salvation, instead Athanasius Contra Mundum will accuse Roman Catholics who take the very words of God without adding to them or subtracting from them as nothing but followers of Martin Luther. John Calvin or some Billy Bob preacher! What reasoning! So if a Roman Catholic using only the words of God first and foremost before clinging to the words of men, then that Roman Catholic is a heretic! Well good luck with that line of reasoning because you will never win any arguments no matter how eloquent you are or how many men you can quote!

The very words of the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity take precedence over the words of men! If you disagree with this, then you are the one who has the problem. This is one simple reason why I will be able to conquer the world by restoring the Divinely Ordained Authority of the Holy Roman Emperor using the very words of the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity and this why the majority of you will ultimately fail in your perverted endeavor to prop up the demented political philosophy of modern democracy!
