Roman Catholic traditionalists and their litany of woe

BRUEGEL, Pieter the Elder
The Parable of the Blind Leading the Blind (detail)
1568

The slothful man saith: There is a lion without, I shall be slain in the midst of the streets.

Another example of the Mad Max mentality of a traditionalist found on the AQ web site.
So what do we do, besides pray? Here is the Litany of Woe ( I do believe that this person is serious):

I am looking at the big picture. And what do I see? Permit me to tell you.

  • Wars, bloodshed, riots in the streets, devalued dollars, famine, hunger. Wildfires in the rural areas and in the city streets. Floods, hurricanes, massive blizzards and rainstorms. Diseases natural and man-made running amuck from land to land.
  • Our government declaring Martial Law and the people declaring Guerrilla Warfare against the Martial Law in response.
  • Americans killing other Americans in order to stay alive or stay free or because they are (fill-in-the-blank-with-your-particular-grouping).
  • I even see Catholics killing other Catholics over who gets to run the Church, even to the point of killing bishops and cardinals for either being Modernist or Neo-Catholic or even being too friendly to Tradition.
  • And on top of that is a Second Great Depression, a Third World War and the Fire From Heaven that Our Lady Of Akita prophesied.
  • And in the aftermath, a world so devastated -- filled with piles of charred bodies, crumbling cities and polluted lakes and rivers -- that the living will envy the dead. And many who may survive all this will then kill themselves, for life won't be worth living anymore.
  • No food, no clean water, no decent clothes, no shelter from the elements, no family or friends or loved ones, no priests or nuns, no Mass or Sacraments, no electricity, no music, no books, no laughter, no love, no joy.
  • And the majority of the dead, Catholic and otherwise, will be in Hell for all eternity. Just as saints like Leonard of Port Maurice, Augustine, Alphonsus of Ligouri, Jean-Marie Vianney and other have said.
  • And no escaping or mitigating these things for anyone living right now.
  • That is what I see coming down the road. Hence, my dying hope.
