The continuing folly of Mr. John Zmirak & his interpretation of Pope Benedict’s paragraph 67 calling for true world political authority can be found by reading the following:John Zmirak: The Pope and Global Tyranny Encyclical Does Not Advocate World-State

Mr. Zmirak assures us that the Pope desires nothing more than a Catholic international federation of sovereign states. Mr. Zmirak tells us that anything else that’s on offer, the pope & Mr. Zmirak is opposed to. Mr. Zmirak tells us that you can not create a global state first, and then infuse it with Gospel values, no this will not do, it has to be Catholic from the start. Until the creation of a truly Catholic global federation is achieved Catholics are obliged to fight for states’ rights, regional liberties, and national sovereignty. Meaning of course that the international governing body has to be Catholic, but notice that Mr. Zmirak does not impose the same Catholic requirement for the state, the regional authorities or national authorities, no these lesser governing authorities need not be Catholic according to Mr. Zmirak. Somehow we are lead to believe by the likes of Mr. Zmirak that Catholic social teaching tells us that anything less than a global governing body need not be Catholic. Where in the hell does Mr. Zmirak get this hellish doctrine? Apparently to smart ass Mr. Zmirak yo’ll infuse the godless state, the godless regional authorities & godless national authorities with "Gospels values" but you are not able to infuse the global authority with "Gospels values". But leaving the obvious aside for the moment, lets entertain Mr. Zmirak’s ideal Catholic international federation of sovereign states and say it has been given the go ahead. Some questions first: How does it become Catholic? Will a requirement be made that only men who are Roman Catholic be the representatives of the various nations that make up the international federation of sovereign states? If so lets call it by its proper name: a religious test, if you will, something I think Mr. Zmirak would find abhorrent if the "no religious test" clause of the United States Constitution as is found in Article VI was abolished. Mr. Zmirak and his ilk are purists when it comes to the US Constitution. Can you image the outcry of those Constitutional purist when they find out the Papal creation of international federation of sovereign states that will rule over the affairs of the World has a religious test? Of course being the type of sensible Catholic that Mr. Zmirak is, he will most likely buckle under the pressure from his fellow protestant brethren and allow non-catholics to occupy seats of authority of this global governing body. It certainly will be a mess. The only Catholic answer to the international federation of sovereign states is to petition the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity and ask him how to accomplish such a task and Jesus answering, said to them: Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him. That is of course to revive the Divinely Ordained Authority of the Holy Roman Emperor by Imperial Election. This is only Roman Catholic solution for the creation of an international institution worthy of governing the world. Mr. Zmirak and his ilk will never admit this.
