Apostasy Of Father Raniero Cantalamessa

Father Raniero Cantalamessa
Preacher to the Pontifical Household

From the recent news on the medieval mystic Joachim of Fiore and the criticism of his writings by some modern Vatican officals:
''Few of those who expound on Gioacchino da Fiore Joachim of Fiore, 1130-1202 AD on the Internet know, or go to the trouble of finding out, what this character really said,'' Father Raniero Cantalamessa March 27, 2009
Father Raniero Cantalamessa claims that Joachim of Fiore's view is ''false and heretical''

O.K. Father Raniero Cantalamessa… lets go to the trouble of finding out what you say…… From Tradition in Action web site John Vennari writes about Fr. Raniero Cantalamessa. According to Fr Cantalamessa:
'Other religions are not merely tolerated by God, but positively willed by Him as an expression of the inexhaustible richness of His grace and His will for everyone to be saved.' Father Raniero Cantalamessa. April 2, 2002 Catholic News Service report
'Christ is more concerned that all people should be saved than that they should know who is their Savior,' Father Raniero Cantalamessa. April 2, 2002 Catholic News Service report

What Fr. Raniero Cantalamessa has accused Joachim of Fiore of being - false and heretical, Fr. Cantalamessa actually is.

Yes, Father Raniero Cantalamessa, your very words are false and heretical.

As for Joachim of Fiore what does Holy Mother Church declare about him?
By this, however, we do not intend anything to the detriment of the monastery of Fiore, which Joachim founded, because there both the instruction is according to rule and the observance is healthy; especially since Joachim ordered all his writings to be handed over to us, to be approved or corrected according to the judgment of the apostolic see. He dictated a letter, which he signed with his own hand, in which he firmly confesses that he holds the faith held by the Roman church, which is by God's plan the mother and mistress of all the faithful.' FOURTH LATERAN COUNCIL 1215 A.D.

Joachim of Fiore

According to Father Raniero Cantalamessa, Joachim of Fiore is nothing more than an utopian mystic, who proposed a new liberal and spiritual Church. Somehow I think the life and example of this utopian mystic is more Roman Catholic than what is found currently residing in the Vatican. Does not take much discernment to come to this conclusion. Now what kind of prophets does Father Raniero Cantalamessa prefer to hang around with nowadays?
“In 1992 there was a retreat for priests in Monterrey, Mexico, on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the first evangelization of Latin America. There were 1,700 priests and about 70 bishops present. During the homily of the concluding Mass I spoke about the urgent need that the Church has for prophecy. After Communion there was prayer for a new Pentecost in small groups scattered throughout the great basilica. I remained in the presbytery. At a certain moment a young priest came up to me in silence, knelt down in front of me and with a look I will never forget said to me: "Bendígame, Padre, quiero ser profeta de Dios!" -- "Bless me, Father, I want to be a prophet for God!" A chill went down my spine because I saw that he was plainly moved by grace. We can with humility make that priest's desire our own: "I want to be a prophet for God." Little, unknown to anyone, it does not matter, but one who, as Paul VI said, has fire in his heart, words on his lips, and prophecy in his outlook.” Father Raniero Cantalamessa 2007-12-14- Second Advent Sermon to the Pontifical Household

So, Father, did you bless this prophet of God?

'I did not send prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.' Jeremias 23:21
